To prepare graduates with demonstrated competence in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills) and affective (behavioral) learning domains of respiratory care practice as performed by registered respiratory therapist (RRTs).

The Respiratory Care (RC) degree program prepares graduates for entry-level career opportunities in respiratory care. 通过69学分严格和连贯的课程序列, 学生将获得有效的沟通, 技术, analytical and critical thinking skills necessary to function effectively as a registered respiratory therapist. The program also prepares students who wish to transfer to a 4-year institution to pursue a bachelor’s degree in respiratory care or other professional and graduate programs.

录取A.A.S. degree program in respiratory care at UCNJ requires additional criteria for selection.
- Students must first be admitted to the college prior to applying for admission to the respiratory care program.
- Students must complete prerequisites and achieve a cumulative GPA of 2.5

“This status signifies that a program with an Approval of Intent has demonstrated sufficient compliance with the Standards (through submission of an acceptable Provisional 认证 Self Study Report (PSSR) and any other documentation required by the CoARC, as well as satisfactory completion of an initial on-site visit), 允许录取学生. It is recognized as an accredited program by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), which provides enrolled students who complete the program with eligibility for the Respiratory Care Credentialing Examination(s).
